According to beauty therapist Marta Yatsyshyn, to get radiant and well-groomed skin, you need a combination of both professional care from a specialist and home care.

When it comes to home care, this includes:

  • cleansing
  • toning
  • moisturising
  • use of SPF products regardless of the season

Whereas professional care by a beautician should include:

  1. facial cleansing
  2. biorevitalisation 2 times a year
  3. botulinum therapy
  4. RF-lifting with micro-needles to stimulate collagen production in the skin

Common skin care mistakes

Washing your face with hot water

This can dry out your skin and strip it of its natural oils, causing you to feel tight or dehydrated.

This is especially true for sensitive or couperose-prone skin – hot water can cause redness, rashes or even dilated capillaries. Due to the excessive washing away of the protective layer, the sebaceous glands become more active, which can cause excessive sebum production and the appearance of rashes.

Improper cleansing

Cleansing too often or aggressively can compromise the skin’s natural protective barrier. Using the wrong product (e.g. oily skin on dry skin) can worsen skin conditions.

It is important to know that make-up products, dust and impurities that remain on the skin overnight can cause rashes and dull skin.

Ignoring SPF

Lack of sun protection on a daily basis leads to premature ageing, pigmentation and risk of skin cancer.

Lack of regularity

Care must be constant. Irregular care or frequent changes of products will not produce results.
