According to research, regular wet cleaning can reduce household allergens by up to 60 per cent

Regular wet cleaning is not only about cleanliness, but also about health. In a time of viruses, allergies and active dust in the air, keeping your home clean plays a key role in boosting your immunity and preventing illness. How often you need to put things in order to really protect yourself and your family, writes RBC-Ukraine.

How often do doctors advise cleaning?

According to the recommendations of epidemiologists, wet cleaning should be done at least 2-3 times a week, and ideally daily during epidemics, active flowering of plants or if there are children, allergic people or elderly people at home.

Most dust and germs accumulate on floors, worktops, window sills and in hard-to-reach corners. Dirt particles, pet hair, pollen, fungal spores and viruses settle in the air. Regular damp cleaning not only helps to get rid of dust, but also significantly reduces the risk of respiratory diseases, allergies and even colds.

Where do I need to clean very thoroughly?

The bedroom, children’s room and kitchen should be cleaned particularly carefully. It is recommended to wipe surfaces with a damp cloth at least every other day. If there are animals in the house or a lot of textiles (carpets, curtains, cushions), you need to clean even more often.

In addition, it is important to ventilate the room 2-3 times a day and change the washing water regularly to avoid spreading germs even more.

According to research, regular damp cleaning can reduce household allergens by up to 60% and significantly reduce the risk of respiratory diseases, especially in children.

Remember: wet cleaning is a simple but effective way to keep the whole family healthy. And even 10 minutes every day can make a huge difference.
